M
arketing, Publicity and Research Officer at Dot to Dot

Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring publicity for Dot to Dot’s participatory projects; ensuring that appropriate data is collected and collated, reviewing data and writing project reports with other staff; contacting organisations and encouraging them to take part in existing Dot to Dot projects or work with Dot to Dot in the future; making use of a range of media to publicise Dot to Dot’s work; researching on the web and elsewhere into grants, trusts and other funding to enable Dot to Dot to develop its work in the Heart of Portsmouth; and attending related training conferences and networking events

Teaching Assistant at Beneficial Foundation

Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and delivery of lessons and ensuring that all equipment and resources are properly and safely utilised in its execution. 

Admin Assistant at Beneficial Foundation

Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of the operation of the charity’s administrative functions, including reception, filing, maintaining records and assisting with the supervision of trainees.

Admin Assistant at the New Theatre Royal

You should be able to demonstrate experience of working as part of a small team; administration and organisational skills and a professional telephone manner. The candidate should be willing, helpful, organised and flexible; have good computer literacy, including email, word-processing skills and accurate data entry skills and possess good inter-personal skills and enjoy working as part of a small team.

Projects Administrational Assistant at Highbury College

Responsibilities include dealing with telephone and email enquiries in a polite, friendly and efficient manner; keeping the JCP spreadsheet updated for the following projects: Six Month Plus Unemployed and Response to Redundancy; recording all JCP student details; co-coordinating and collating all the required paperwork for JCP projects; collating statistical information for regular reports; ensuring accurate data input of all JCP students’ training programme and activities whilst at the College and liaising with other College departments to ensure accurate referral of students onto courses.

Receptionist at John Pounds Community Trust

Responsibilities include ensuring the effective control and operation of the reception desk and user card system at the Centre; operating the Centre’s computerised booking system, and when necessary, the cash register; the storage and dispensing of equipment, and the sale of merchandise; supporting the FOH Manager with administrational tasks as required and any other duties as directed by the FOH Manager and Centre Director, which are commensurate with the salary and level of the post. The candidate must ensure the highest levels of customer care are maintained at all times.

Admin Assistant at PARCS

Responsibilities include meeting and greeting clients, answering the telephone, photocopying and filing, updating the computer and general admin duties.

Due to the nature of this work, the vacancy is only open to woman. The candidate must have an empathy for the work the Portsmouth Area Rape Crisis Service does and the client group PARCS works with. She must be able to work within PARCS’ policies and procedures and within a highly confidential environment, and be able to prioritise work. The candidate will need to be CRB checked at Enhanced level.

Sales Assistant at Express FM

Responsibilities include assisting in bringing sponsorship revenue to the station; researching and meeting with potential sponsors; assisting with research and contact businesses with a view to possible contra- deals; maintaining good relationships with new and current sponsors; assisting with setting up contracts, monitor renewals and get approval for text and audio. In addition you will be expected to assist the team in other areas such as PR and marketing of the station both in and out of the office (e.g. outside broadcasts)

The candidate should be self motivated and able to work under their own initiative; articulate and a good communicator; enthusiastic; a team Player; positive; presentable; IT literate. It is desirable, but not essential, that the candidate drives or owns a car; has experience in sales or sponsorship and understands PR.
